A rare quiet moment in the cage and ain't that the truth! Atilla is cockatoo in every sense of the word. But she is great! We have been through a lot with her from nursing wounds to having her stolen and getting her back - God has been very good to us!

This little nut must have more than nine lives, for she has gotten into everything she shouldn't have! Being quite the little escape artist, one day she un-did the screw lock to he cage by unscrewing it, and then leaving it on the bottom of the cage, screwed back! I guess she showed us!

Atilla shares a cage with our other Moluccan, Amos. One day, in her little flash of freedom, they were both on the run. Amos found the toothpaste in the bathroom and brought it with her up to the top of the cage to play with for a while, while Atilla climbed on top of the microwave. This gave her easy access to the cabinet with the bags of beans, rice & tea of which she thoughtfully yanked from their little nestled home and tore open on the counter. Coupled with her flapping frenzy, to celebrate of course, made everything fly everywhere!

This is also the cabinet that James kept his vitamins, which luckily for Atilla he had stocked up on, now she had more to play with, and she proceeded to remove all those jars from the cabinet as well. The brown powdery capsules that she busted open weren't that bad, but she had also found the green gelled chlorophyll tablets which actually squirted everywhere and she had green feathers for months! How she unscrewed some of the caps off those bottles, dumped out the contents and then screwed the cap back on I will never know! Amos wasn't without anything else to do either, while Atilla continued in this frenzy, Amos climbed up the molding of the patio doors and pulled off the vertical blinds one by one by one.

Of course this was a LONG time ago and we have finally found Atilla proof locks, however I will NEVER forget that day!
